Unlike Scottish and Scandinavian Mountain Hares, Irish Hares do not turn white in Winter, we rarely get the snow to justify it. This painting was based on an encounter with a Hare on Inishowen in Donegal in early February 2019 during a few days of heavy snow fall.
Original copy painted by hand, with watercolor technique on special paper for watercolor.
Size: 29×28 cm
