An illustration for the European Breeding Bird Atlas. I have been lucky to have seen several of the species for the project, and the Crossbills are no exception. Along with Scottish, I have also been tasked with illustration Parrot and Two-barred Crossbill.

Original copy painted by hand, with watercolor technique on special paper for watercolor.
