The harberinger of Autumn, I am amazed every Autumn how these tiny waifs cover such enormous distances in the ‘wrong’ direction. This was painted after encountering two late migrants on Loop Head county Clare in 2013.

Original copy painted by hand, with watercolor technique on special paper for watercolor.
